The craziness that my life has become!

Man, life has certainly changed for me in the last three months. So much so that it has seriously given my writing and fandom activities a beating and it sucks!

First and foremost, the manager of my office (who had been here since the place opened up 14 years ago) died of a massive heart attack in May. Now, normally this wouldn't cause such an upheaval in a company. One man dies you replace him. But in this case it did. The reason is because the man that died was a prick. Plain and simple. Don't get me wrong I feel bad for his family that he died, but he was not a pleasant man to work around. In fact, his pissy arrogant attitude effected the entire establishment. No one wanted to work with him and we lost business because the customers didn't want to deal with him. Hell, even the freaking boss didn't want to deal with him so he didn't and instead he let that a-hole run the business down into the ground. Now that he's gone, the boss is around much more often and wants to make a whole shit load of changes AT ONCE! So everyone is scrambling with new procedures and changes. Plus we're starting up a new software program for our inventory which is a HUGE freaking project that was just dropped on me. Then on top of that I'm re-designing the company web site. So you add all that on top of my other twenty million responsibilities I have to do and my day is hectic, to say the least.

Not only has work been totally consuming my thoughts but my big brother is in Afghanistan so I have him on my mind as well. He's doing a year over there, he's not in the military he's actually a cop from LA but he took a year off from the force and was hired by a private security company that has a contract with the military to go over and help in getting information on locating Bin Laden and getting that information to the right people. It seems the military has so many young people and they are not experienced in that area of logistics, so all the information they do get does not get to the right people to do anything with it. They are all fa-clumped and are hiring civilians that have experience in that area. My bro worked in the gang division in LA for many years, did undercover work, and interrogation so he's capable and a risk taker, so he took the job and headed over there.

With all of this going on my mind has been preoccupied on everything but writing. When I come home from work I just want to lose myself in a good book for an hour or so to relax, and that's what I've been doing.

BUT I've been feeling the itch to write YAY! And work is becoming more stable and I think I foresee some writing in my future and yes Book Three is up at bat.

So that's where I've been and what has kept me away. I'll always be writing you know that people! I love to write and there is nothing that can take me away from it for too long *G*. I haven't gotten any further in Book Three since my last update to the group but like I said, I'm hopeful that that will change soon.

*keeping the faith*

hey girlfriend., your work situation sounds something I'went thru couple of months ago...been there done that. Glad things are looking fairly "crazy-less". Ohmygod...your bro going from a war-zone to another., I'm from the bay area (San Francisco) but LA is way worst. One of my close friend older bro is in the service but he is in Iraq. My prayers will now include your bro. I'm glad you still have'nt stray far from writing and plan to return can't wait.
